Train Ride! :)

Both my men were very happy to go on the Royal Gorge train.

There was an open air car that we went to a number of times. It was a little chilly in the gorge- but not bad for December in the mountains.

A night in the hotel

Mark was working the phones for hours at the hotel. We unplugged both of them and he carried them around to the table, then the couch, then the bed, then the bedside table, then back to the kitchen table.

Working so hard he has to be on both phones at once.

A beautiful day at Garden of the Gods

On Monday we went to Colorado Springs we hiked around in Garden of the Gods. It is a really beautiful public area that has my favortie feature of Colorado- the pokey red rocks.

Mark in the snow

We drove up in the mountains on Christmas day and played in the snow. Mark was not impressed. But he did like the swing :)

Chirstmas at the mall

This is Marks christmas outfit at the mall- we were trying to get professional pictures taken- but Mark freaked out when we went in the photo studio. But as you can see he was very happy to run around the mall being cute and happy.

Another sunny day

We had a really lovely day here. It was over 65. The many inches of snow we had this morning are melting fast. Our front yard is completely clear. There is still an inch or two in the back where it is shaded. We definitely bought on the right side of the street- no shoveling necessary.

So we went to the park this afternoon. Here is Mark pointing to the swings. He spent most of the hour we were there on the swing. And any time he slowed down he would emphatically make the more sign and say "mo" until I would give him another big push.

These are Mark's footprints. Proof that he will walk in the snow!! but only because he had to do so to get to the swing.
We stoped at the duck pond on the way home. Mark is pointing if he had more words he would say "look mom, ducks! quack, quack quack", instead he says qck, qck, qck, duck, duck, duck
The ducks thought we might feed them and were pretty excited.
Mark was pretty excited too :)
