Halloween

Our little kitty and tiger.  They were  both great about getting dressed up.  Mark has the trick or treating thing almost figured out.  He was only really interested in going to one house- then he had candy and was done.

All of us dressed and ready to go.

Tim had to go off to a show and so Betty and Lisa stayed the evening with me.  Mark was pretty tired and wanted to sit with Betty on the couch- but he didn't want his photo taken.  Silly boy.

Sledding

I guess I am ready

Grouchy about having to go home.

Snow and lots of it

We have around 24 inches of snow and are predicted to get another 4-8 today.  The berm in the back yard 4 feet high.  Now if we could just convince Mark that it is fun to play in.

Fall!

Lilly's first trip to the swimming pool
Mark getting ready for our first halloween party- not all too thrilled.
Playing in the leaves during Betty's rugby game.

"I want that leaf"

science and nature museum

There were a ton of things to play with at the museum.
Like these magnetic animal puzzles
Digging for fossils
You can see Lilly and I in the mirror
The magnet table- He played here for a long time.  He was experimenting with which magnets were "sticky" and which pushed away from each other.
And the popsicle sticks- that were supposed to be used as puppet sticks- he put them together like an airplane and flew them around :)

just a few random photos

Our new stroller- places for both kiddos.
Mark's very curly hair- only when just washed.
Lilly all snuggled up in the blanket that Sue made for Mark.

snow!

Mark likes the snow!  This is a great improvement over how he felt about it last year.  We spent a few minutes outside touching it with fingers- he was telling me how he was making holes in he snow.  Then his finger was cold so we came in.
He was also saying "look my footprints, mommies footprints"
After we came I got out some snack and told him it was "on the table" this is what I came into the dining room to find.  My fault I did say "on".  This is also his new photo face- he doesn't want to look at me or smile, I think he dislikes the flash.  oh and he's two :)

oh my goodness she is so cute!

Fun we've been having

Fun at home- just putting some rocks and some puff balls in a bucket and then dumping them out again.
Yesterday we went to the zoo- just me and the kids.  I am getting pretty good at two kiddos by myself.  This is looking in at the gorillas- his favorite next to the hippo.
On Sunday we went for walk- Mark decided that he really needed to sit down in the middle of the trail and make piles out of the rocks.

On a hay ride leaving the pumpkin festival on Saturday.  This was actually the only part of the trip he really liked.
Helping momma tenderize and flatten the pork- look at that concentration!

An afternoon in Mark's eyes

Mark got a hold of my camera and walked around taking photos-  I think it is neat to see what he was interested in taking pictures of.
Mark's foot

The stairs
The cat- a lot of time was spent chasing the cat around saying "kitty stay here, come back, I am taking a picture of you"

Mark's surgery

Mark's surgery went well.  He didn't like any part of it and had a pretty grouchy afternoon after the general anesthesia wore off.  He was pretty inconsolable for the first few hours.  And he was unable to walk- which really freaked him out.  So we spent most of the afternoon on a long car ride in the mountains.  Then all the sudden around 6:30 he snapped out of it, got off my lap and stated running around and playing.  He is is normal self this morning- just a little more whinny.  They told us it would hurt when he jumped so he wouldn't do it- but no such thing we are trying to keep him from jumping everywhere.

We had about a two hour wait after we checked in and were able to keep him occupied for most of it, but he was grouchy and kept telling me "momma, I am ready to go home, let's go home now, I'm all done".

I got him some new animal toys- this one is NOT a gorilla it is a monkey!  He doesn't get why mom and dad keep getting it wrong.
I haven't been in a bunny suit in years.  We had to wear them to be able to take him back into the OR.
Tim also got an owie yesterday.  When he sat up first thing in the morning he passed out- falling out of bed onto the floor on his nose.  it was one of the only times he has passed out in his life and we don't know why.  Probably just getting up too quickly. It looks a little worse today, and is swollen- but no back eyes, we don't think it is broken.  Tim is wishing that he wore contacts.

growing, smiling Lilly

Tim may not like this first thing in the morning pic, but you need a little perspective to see how big she is getting.
Just like her big brother this is the first toy she is interested.  Thanks again Jenny.
What a cute smily baby.

Not always smiling.
