Because I lost my camera :(
Well, I guess I could just write about the things we are doing, but I don't think it would be as fun. We have been in Kettle. We went to Shanti and Heath's wedding (where my kids got ridiculously dirty) and had a wonderful time seeing my down-river family. I have decided that friends is not strong enough of a word for the group of people I grew up with so I am naming them my down-river family. Then we spent most of the week working on the house and hanging out on the lawn (where my kids got ridiculously dirty) and having campfires at night. Having my two little ones helping made everything move a little slower, but we got the deck off and the siding off one wall and some rebuilding done. I got a few chances to help with this work, but am sure that having my family there was a negative impact on how much got done. This weekend with out us and plus Betty they will probably get the whole thing finished :)
To anyone who was at Shanti and Heath's wedding last weekend- did you find my silver Cannon camera? (if so keep it to yourself- I have been wanting a new one and Tim has been telling me that mine works fine. The last known location was in Tim's pocket- so I get to buy a new one without any flack from him ;) )

Firefighters in a fire engine
You may be confused because the firefighters look just like my kids and the fire engine looks just like the cabinet in my kitchen island. But, I have been assured that they are in fact firefighters in a fire engine.
Our new dishwasher got installed today- Lilly is very happy to play with the new baby on the door.
She hasn't taken any more steps, but is good at standing on her own now.

The kids have been playing together a lot recently. It is fun to watch them becoming friends.

VACATION
We just returned from vacation with Tim's folks.
Here are the highlights:
Mark's first fishing trip
Lilly being cute at the lake. You can start to see her eyes getting goupy, she got a full on infection and we had to make a trip to the doctor. Luckily it didn't affect her mood :)
ummm, how did she get SO big? Look at her here standing and acting like a toddler not baby at all.
Both Mark and Lilly loved the closets that had safes in them. The buttons made noise every time you touched them.
Mark's favorites: playing "panda bear" on the rocks around a kids fountain, seeing the fire engine with Pop Pop, playing on the pirate ship, and riding on a pony.
On our last day we took a gondola up to the top of the mountain. It was scary for me, but everyone else loved it. I was calmer on the way down, but I just kept thinking about the one in Switzerland we went on with my folks a few years ago that was 100s or 1000s of feet off the ground.

Children's museum
I always take photos at the museum, here are some more.
Fireman, playing baby in the home, being a bird in the nest, and helping the baby crawl.
Cute Lilly, and you can see her tooth.

Kids in Boxes
It seems like kids in boxes are perpetually cute. Mark's clothes are now kept in these boxes so that he can help put them away and pick out his own clothes. This is going remarkably well especially since he doesn't like to be wet and we have been spending a lot of time outside playing in the water. He can go and get a change of clothes all by himself now.
We were putting clothes away this weekend when the kids decided that they needed to play in the boxes. Lilly spent most of her time emptying the undie and sock bins and trying to climb over to her brother. Mark spent most of his time spinning around in his box clockwise to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house and then counter clockwise to get back to our house. His role playing games are getting more complicated- it is really fun to watch them and be part of them.
Outdoor pools are open!
Ever wonder whose kids go to the pool in long sleeve rash guards and hats- they are mine :) We are so fair skinned and the sun here in Denver is SO intense that protection from the sun is necessary.
An afterwork walk
One of the lovely things about summer is that there is lots of nice daylight after work and we have time to do things outside after Tim gets home. Last week we took a lovely walk with Betty and Lisa on the highline canal trail.
Mark liked playing in the grass and things but was less excited about the actual walking part. He is driving his car on the path in this photo.
Mom and Dad visit
My folks were here for almost a week. Unfortunately my camera wasn't working for a lot of it so I only have a few photos.

Garden boxes are in!
I finished up my garden boxes today. All the fun of growing without the bending over and the rabits. You might think it is very late to be getting this done, but you must remember that it snowed twice this week. I got to use the miter saw to cute the boards, I love it.
Tim kept the kiddos occupied while I finished these up. And he did all the heavy lifting. It was a beautiful day.
Mark, as usual, was too busy for photos
