Tamales are a new tradition for our family. A few years ago mom was doing a headstart review in the southwest and the kids in the classroom made tamales for Christmas. She brought this yummy tradition home to us.
You can also see that our kitchen is now painted. On mom's first day here she walked in the kitchen around 3 pm and asked me "can I paint the kitchen?" it was done by the night.

Your kitchen color looks just like ours!! Must be a good one. We have a lot of blue and tan in our house. Light gray and white are going downstairs......
